The 24 bit version is the HD Audio version [not sure that's the correct name this time of day as i haven't finished all of my morning breakfast bowl of blunts yet] and does not play over normal stereo equipment.

"Please keep in mind that you will need a media player that is compatible with both the FLAC format and 96/24 resolution files. We suggest a media player such as MediaMonkey which is available here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/. In addition, you will also need a D/A converter that supports 96/24 audio."

The usual problem faced by most folks wanting to play 24 bit files is the D/A converter.

Thanks Ras! I appreciate the reply. For now I grabbed the VBR mp3s but I'll check out this stuff you mentioned.
